Proper Nutrition


In order to increase your energy level and get the results you want, you need to fuel your body with food. Energy comes from calories and calories come from food; therefore, you need to eat, and you need to eat often. The key is to eat the right foods in the right amounts. I know this sounds simplistic and you have probably heard it before. If that is the case, you have not mastered it. Here are some simple guidelines to produce energy and enhance your energy levels consistently throughout the day.

  1. Get the right balance of the macro nutrients on a regular basis.
  2. Get adequate protein in each meal to fuel your muscles for growth and maintenance.
  3. Provide your body with complex carbohydrates sufficient to meet your energy needs.
  4. Include fibrous carbohydrates every day.
  5. Avoid the intake of simple sugar and processed foods.
  6. Drink at least 8 glasses of water per day.

Pretty soon, you’ll know exactly how to do all of the above to get the results you want. It all comes down to speeding up your metabolism, which will speed up the processing of the foods you ea.

General Guidelines:

  • Eat every 3-3 1/2 hours  Men  Women
  • Bake, Broil, or grill when possible
  • Pre-Plan your meals ahead of time!
  • Consume whey protein shake after every workout. Replenish your muscles quickly without interfering in fat-burning effects of exercise.
  • Limit saturated fats from all animal and dairy products.
  • Drink 8 oz of water before every meal.
  • Focus on fats from healthy sources (flaxseed oil, olive oil, fish, etc.) Include all three Omega fats in diet (Omega-3, Omega-6 and Omega-9).
  • Proper supplementation.
  • Avoid high-glycemic carbs. (Glycemic Food Index)
